Edgy Fit Co. is a gym and wellness facility in a small farming and oil community close to the Saskatchewan border.

This unique locally owned and operated boutique fitness facility was built on a strong foundation of providing a safe, clean, welcoming environment for our local community and surrounding areas to work on building a strong healthy lifestyle.

Kari

 – Owner of Edgy Fit + Fitness/Lifestyle Coach

My name is Kari and I am the proud owner of Edgy Fit Co. My journey to where I am today has been exciting to build my experience and knowledge to grow in the areas that I am most passionate about. I am thankful to have a strong, passionate, fun EF Team to support so many members in a wide variety of ways. 

Having us all under one roof and having a common goal to inspire and connect through fitness and serve our local Provost Community is amazing. I love that we can Collaborate and support each other and have FUN.

Since 2011 I started my journey as a Fascial Stretch Practitioner. I currently am a Level 2 Sports Specific FST Practitioner with years of experience from many levels of athletes.

My other Certifications help me bridge together many areas in my client’s lifestyle and fitness to help them reach their goals.

Alyssa

Personal Trainer and Athletic Therapist

Alyssa Rab was born and raised in Provost, Alberta. Growing up she played a variety of sports, and in 2009 moved to Edmonton Alberta to begin her studies and continue her athletics career.

She was recruited to play in the ACAC for the King’s University Women’s Volleyball team, and played there for 5 seasons. After completing her eligibility, she was selected to be a part of the CCAA Female Apprentice Program and earned her coaching certifications while acting as the King’s University Women’s Volleyball Team assistant coach and athletic trainer.

She maintained her role of assistant coach at the ACAC level for another two years after the program was completed. In 2016 she moved back to Provost, but continues to maintain the role of Personal Trainer for both the Men’s and Women’s volleyball programs at The King’s University from 2016 to present.

In 2016 when moving back to Provost to marry her husband Andrew, Alyssa started up her own small business, Alyssa Rab Wellness.

She provides all her services out of Edgy Fit, which includes:

  • Manual, soft tissue, and MET Therapy to treat acute and chronic injuries
  • Cupping Therapy to treat acute and chronic injuries
  • Rehabilitation programs for acute and chronic injuries
  • Collaboration therapy with Kari Watchel which includes FST and Athletic Therapy
    treatments and Rehab programs
  • Personal Training sessions and programs
  • Group Training sessions and programs.

Karlie

Personal Trainer and Exercise Therapist

Hi Everyone! My name is Karlie.

I am an Exercise Therapist who enjoys helping clients develop wellness habits that will last a lifetime. I studied Kinesiology and Psychology at the University of Saskatchewan before completing my Clinical Exercise Physiologist and High-Performance Specialization certifications.

As an Exercise Therapist, I perform assessments and create personalized strength and conditioning programs for both apparently healthy and/or people with medical conditions, functional limitations, or disabilities associated with musculoskeletal, cardiopulmonary, metabolic, neuromuscular, and aging conditions. I love working with clients counseling them in healthy lifestyle education and goal setting.

In my spare time, I can be found reading or being active outdoors with my fiancé. I recently completed my first half marathon Covid style in the summer of 2020. 

Mady

Personal Trainer and Fascial Stretch Practitioner

Mady is a CSEP Certified Personal Trainer, Certified Fascial Stretch Practitioner, competitive gymnastics coach and is completing a two-year massage therapy program. 

She has a background in many sports but mainly gymnastics and track and field. She competed at provincials in both gymnastics and track and medaling a total of four times.

After high school she went on to complete a two-year personal trainer program at Mount Royal University, and shortly after finishing that she took her FST training down in Arizona.

Since then, she has been running her own online personal training program and working with FST clients, as well as coaching the competitive gymnastics team in Wainwright. In September 2020 she started her massage therapy program and has been adding that into her FST sessions. On her spare time, she loves working out, taking her dog for runs, and hiking and camping in the mountains.

April

 – Personal Trainer

My name is April and I have been a member of Edgy Fit since the gym opened in 2011. I live on a farm outside of  Macklin, SK between Provost and Macklin with my Son and husband and 2 chocolate labs. I have always connected naturally with all the members in the classes and the gym daily as I love to be around and support others on their journey. 

The ladies often comment on my bright smile and positive comments. When I notice others gaining strength and hitting goals no matter what size, I love to encourage them when I see change.  I believe in cheering others on to become their best selves and increase their confidence. 

In 2019, I earned my ISSA Personal Training Certificate to join EF Team to teach Group Classes and Personal Train.  I truly have a passion for what I do and love connecting and supporting the member on their fitness journey.

Sierra

 – Personal Trainer

I’m Sierra Bazley. I’m currently enrolled in a course that makes me jump out of bed in the morning and fills my absolute passion— personal training. I love helping people reach their goals and help them with their highest potentials. I have been working out for about six years and it has always been the highlight of my day. The reason I started working out is that when I was younger I became very sick with Lyme Disease. I had lost forty pounds and was very fragile and weak. When you are in your darkest hour, you realize how precious our lives truly are. Through adversity and trials in life, we learn and grow. Food was my healer and my saving grace. 

While I was very sick, I was around my horses a lot because they are natural healers. I have been riding since I was two and rodeoing since I was ten. When I got sick I was too weak to even ride my horses, let alone rodeo and that’s when I realized I needed to gain strength. That’s when I started realizing the importance of fitness and the impact it would have on my life. I then started working out, starting from the bottom and knowing nothing, but I never gave up. Through trial and error, I started learning and gaining more knowledge about fitness. With becoming more and more consistent, I started becoming stronger and noticing more results. The stronger I got, the more competitive I became in rodeo. I started winning rodeos and qualified for the National Highschool Rodeo Finals, one of the biggest rodeos in the world. In 2019 I was stronger and more fit than I had ever been before and I ended up winning the provincial title.

I credit a lot of my success to consistency, perseverance, dedication, and my new realization of the creation of my passion for fitness. 

My hobbies and interests are horses, cows, skiing in the mountains, and surfing in the summer. I am a very adventurous person who loves being in nature and traveling.

Fitness is my passion, and I am very excited about the opportunities to come in the future. This passion has gotten me through some of my toughest days and has not only improved my physical state but my mental state too.
